Usher is a married man!
On Super Bowl Sunday, the "Yeah!" singer had a significant day. Alongside performing at the halftime show, he also exchanged vows with his longtime girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea.
NBC News obtained Clark County records indicating that the two married on Feb. 11, 2024. However, it's unclear whether the wedding took place before or after the halftime show.
Goicoechea and the "Love in This Club" singer, whose full name is Usher Raymond IV, had previously acquired a marriage license in the county on Feb. 8, three days before the big game. This news sparked a flurry of rumors and media coverage leading up to the singer's halftime show.
The couple, Goicoechea and Usher, have been romantically linked for years, seemingly confirming their relationship when they were photographed sharing a kiss at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2019.
They already have two children together: a daughter named Sovereign Bo, aged 3, and a son named Sire Castrello, aged 2.
Usher is also a father to sons named Usher “Cinco” V, aged 16, and Naviyd Ely, aged 15, from his previous marriage to Tameka Foster.
During his halftime performance, Usher made sure to give a shout-out to his mother. However, in the past, he has been known to mention his partner and "best friend."
In a November 2023 interview with People magazine, he spoke highly of Goicoechea, describing her as "an amazing partner, a support system" as they navigate raising their blended family.
"We have an incredible dynamic in our relationship where I can still be passionate about what I do and have an incredible partner to navigate through some of the tougher times as a young man dealing with children and managing the dynamics of communication with them," he shared with People.
"I'm very happy, very fortunate to have an incredible friend, not just a partner," he continued. "She's my best friend, and I love her."
As of February 12, Usher's spokesperson has not responded to YEPPOST.com's request for comment.
