On April 5, actor Cole "Coco" Brings Plenty, aged 27, was discovered deceased in Johnson County, Kansas.
Brings Plenty, who had been missing since March 31 and was sought in connection with a domestic violence incident in nearby Lawrence, Kansas, was found in a wooded area of Johnson County.
According to a statement from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the location at 11:45 a.m. following a report of an abandoned vehicle. Brings Plenty's body was subsequently located nearby.
"The investigation, involving Crime Scene Investigators and the Medical Examiner, is currently underway," stated JCSO. "No cause of death has been determined at this time."
In a statement provided to NBC News after learning of Brings Plenty's passing, his father, Joe Brings Plenty Sr., expressed profound sorrow.
"I am profoundly saddened to announce that my son, Cole, has been located and is no longer with us," he stated. "We are grateful beyond words for the prayers and uplifting thoughts extended to Cole. We also extend our sincerest appreciation to all who stood by us during the search for my son, offering invaluable support and resources to widen our search efforts. This week, I've come to realize the extent of people who recognized the kindness within Cole and cherished him dearly."

Cole Brings Plenty, known for his role as Pete Plenty Clouds in the "Yellowstone" spinoff series "1923," disappeared following an incident on March 31 in Lawrence, Kansas, a university town located approximately 40 miles west of Kansas City.
On April 2, officials stated that Lawrence Police had filed an affidavit with the District Attorney seeking the arrest of Cole Brings Plenty in connection with an incident that occurred on Sunday morning at an apartment in Lawrence. The statement further indicated that Cole Brings Plenty was identified as the suspect, and probable cause had been established for his arrest, prompting an alert to area law enforcement agencies.
According to the release, law enforcement officers responded to the apartment after receiving reports of a female in distress, but the suspect had fled before their arrival. Lawrence Police disclosed that Cole Brings Plenty was captured on traffic cameras leaving the city immediately afterward, traveling south on U.S. Route 59.
The police statement noted that the incident involved allegations of domestic violence, which restricted the amount of information that could be shared to safeguard the victim, with no additional details provided.
Initially, Cole Brings Plenty's family expressed concerns about the missing actor and reached out to law enforcement authorities.
Mo Brings Plenty, who portrays Mo in "Yellowstone" and is the younger actor's uncle, took to his verified Instagram account to share a missing person poster of his nephew. The poster indicated that the younger Brings Plenty's phone was turned off, and his absence was discovered after he failed to attend an appointment with his agent for a TV show, which was described as uncharacteristic of him.
In a statement provided to NBC News, Cole Brings Plenty's agent, Peter Yanke, disclosed that the actor had missed an audition for an upcoming project conducted over Zoom on Monday, April 1.
"I had discussed the details with him on Thursday afternoon, and he was enthusiastic about it. When Cole didn't appear on Zoom, I reached out to his manager," Yanke stated. "We remain hopeful for his safe return and are grateful for the efforts made by his family, friends, and colleagues in the film industry to locate him. Our hearts are with them during this challenging period."
Cole Brings Plenty's fellow cast members also utilized social media platforms to raise awareness about the actor's disappearance.
"Yellowstone" star Cole Hauser, known for his role as Rip Wheeler, posted on Instagram on April 2, expressing concern for his friend Mo Brings Plenty's missing nephew: "My good friend @mobringsplenty nephew is missing. He was last seen on Easter evening in Kansas City."
