In Antakya, Hatay, rescuers were elated when they discovered Alex, husky, from beneath the debris late on Tuesday.
As the search party explored the Antakya province for temporary shelters, they heard Alex's sounds. When they peered through a slight slit in the wreckage, they noticed his nose.
Alex's rescue was captured on camera, and he joyously showered his rescuer with licks of gratitude immediately upon being saved.
Exhilarated, Alex gasped for air as the volunteers who liberated him showered him with attention.
Osman Polat, a HAYTAP volunteer, noted that Alex was in a satisfactory state despite having lost a considerable amount of weight. It was a blessing for Alex to survive 22 days without food in that cavity.
No one understood how Alex had been able to manage without food or drink.
