Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have reached an agreement on their divorce, as per documents obtained by NBC News and filed with the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles on May 1 and May 2. The divorce petition was uncontested, and neither Spears nor Asghari will receive spousal support in the future.

The couple parted ways in August 2023, with Asghari filing for divorce due to irreconcilable differences. In a statement, he expressed mutual love and respect, wishing Spears the best always.

April 2022: The couple announces they're expecting

In an interview with People, Sam Asghari opened up about his divorce from Britney Spears, describing it as a blessing to have shared life with her for a significant period.

He emphasized his intention to refrain from speaking negatively about Spears or their past together, expressing his disapproval of people who part ways and then speak poorly of each other.

In court documents obtained by NBC News, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari agreed to an uncontested divorce.
According to the documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on May 1 and May 2, neither Spears nor Asghari will receive spousal support in the future. They also waived their right to a trial and an appeal.
Their status as single individuals will be restored on Dec. 2, 2024.
