As reported by a local Fox affiliate, Ever since Dr. Thomas McMeekin encountered Nancy Gambell in high school in California, he had been enamored with her from afar. The two of them occasionally went out on a few dates, yet eventually went off to attend different universities and end up with different partners. Other than when being reunited at their 50th high school reunion, McMeekin and Gambell never really reconnected.

Fast forward a decade and their sixtieth high school reunion was on the horizon.

In Tampa, McMeekin is a dermatologist. His staff had been seeing him beaming all week long. McMeekin exposed that Gambell personally contacted him, expressing her enthusiasm to reunite with him, inducing his urge to arrange a "surprise" for when Gambell arrived at the airport.
