While his wife remains embroiled in a photo editing controversy, Prince William made a public appearance on March 14 to speak at the Diana Legacy Awards in London. The ceremony also featured a virtual appearance by his brother, Prince Harry.

This year marked the 25th anniversary of the award, which celebrates "the accomplishments of 20 outstanding young leaders who are inspiring the next generation to follow in Diana, Princess of Wales’ footsteps and make a positive impact on the world," as stated by Kensington Palace.

During his speech, William paid tribute to his late mother, saying, "She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back, that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life. That legacy is something that both Catherine (Princess of Wales) and I have sought to focus on through our work, as have the 50,000 young people who have received a Diana Award over the past 25 years." Notably, this was the only reference to his wife in his speech.

Prince Harry appeared virtually following the event, offering praise to the award winners for their contributions.

"Your roles hold tremendous importance for the future, don't they? You're aware of that. Some of you might perceive your contributions as small, while others see them as significant," he remarked.

"My mother would be immensely proud of all the efforts you've put in," he added.

The princes made their appearance amidst a bustling period. Formerly known as Kate Middleton, who has been recuperating from abdominal surgery since January, found herself amidst a storm of controversy when photo agencies retracted a picture of her taken earlier this month for Britain’s Mother’s Day, alleging it had been altered. This led her to issue an apology.

"Similar to many amateur photographers, I occasionally dabble in editing. I wish to extend my apologies for any confusion caused by the family photograph we shared yesterday. I hope all those celebrating had a wonderful Mother’s Day. - C," Kate wrote in a statement shared on X.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle, Harry’s wife, made a comeback to Instagram on March 14th with the launch of what seems to be a new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The first nine posts on the page combine to form a logo with the text “American Riviera Orchard Montecito” beneath it.

Additionally, the new page provides a link to the American Riviera Orchard website, where individuals can sign up to receive updates on products, availability, and news from American Riviera Orchard.
