Currently in the works, the sixth season of the Netflix series The Crown has Ed McVey and Meg Bellamy, cast as Prince William and Kate Middleton, seen filming scenes nearby St. Andrews.
At the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, the Prince and Princess of Wales had their first encounter and fell in love at that location while in college, and filming for the show's sixth and concluding season has already begun. The two characters first meet while running, and an image that has become popular on the internet captures McVey's William glancing in the direction of Bellamy's Kate.
This picture, located near St Andrews, is believed to capture the moment two future royals, the Prince and Princess of Wales, encountered each other while they were still in university.
Prince William and Princess Kate, both 40 and 41 years old, have not revealed when they first encountered each other. Kate commented in their 2010 ITV engagement interview that it took a bit of time for them to get to know each other.
Fans are excited for The Crown's last season, which is believed to explore the matters and affairs of the royal family from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, including the start of Prince William and Kate's romance. The series is expected to be released later this year.
